Since 1998, Paul has created art for the studio.
He is known for his geometric paintings and his use of vibrant colors. Paul says, “I like art because it helps me escape to my own world.”
Andy is an artist at the studio
known for his billiard ball embroidery, and drawing. Some of his works are in The Gallery of Everything art museum in London.
Andy says, “Art to me is simple. It shows creativity.”
Starting since 2015, Adam has been artist at the studio. Adam likes to create Alien ship T-shirts and work on his woven rugs. What Art means to Adam: “Art makes me happy. It brings me happiness and enjoyment.”
Robert has been an artist at the studio since 2008. Robert puts an artistic flair to work on mediums such as his acrylic paintings of sailboats, which all have his signature waves. His work has been described as vibrant and electric, powerful and uninhibited. Robert states, “I like my pictures to look nice. I like to make big waves hitting the water.”
A horror film lover, Jennifer is an artist at the studio since 2008. She is specifically fond of Michael Meyers. Her art is canvases of poured paint. Jennifer's artwork has been featured at the Attleboro Art Museum. Jennifer says, “Art is being creative, passion with watercolors, and excitement.”
Damon has been an artist at the studio since 2006. Damon is not only an Artist, but he is also a Yoga Instructor for Shri Yoga. Damon is known for his weaving. He makes rugs, table runners and placemats. Damon also enjoys creating embroidery works and
drawing. What art means to me: “Art to me is very
and fun. I enjoy creating artwork.”
Nancy McParlin is an artist at the studio. She is known fo her mug rugs. Recently, she started to weave table runners and placemats. Nancy loves to paint using acrylic paints.
Nicole is an artist who has been a part of the studio since 2012. Nicole’s artwork includes anime-inspired embroidery, painting, tote bags, and doll making. Nicole says, “Art is making something for everyone. You can bring art to life, so people can say 'I want to get this, and I want to get that.”
Michelle is an artist the studio since 2014. Michelle’s works include scarfs, painting, and embroidery. She is also a yoga enthusiast. Michelle says, “Art lets you try something different. It is inspirational picking and designing my own colors.”
Since 2018, Maria has been creating art at the studio. Maria is known for her embroidery.
She likes embroidery because it makes her happy.
Known for her positivity and love for yoga class, Carol is an artist at the studio.
She has been an artist with the studio for many, many years.
Carol is a very positive, enthusiastic person, which shows through all her embroideries.
Suzy has been an artist at the studio since 2006.
She enjoys embroidery, sewing and painting. What art means to me: “I like embroidering. It is satisfying to me.”
Known for her unique style of drawings, Donna has been an artist at the studio since 2007. Her weaving demonstrates all of her talents in everything she creates whether it is woven rugs, placemats and table runners, or creating her unique style of drawing.
What art means to me: “I like learning different pictures and different colors. It’s fun.”
Brenda is
self-employed artist at the studio, and has been creating here since 2005.
She is known for her city-scape paintings and her weaving.
Some of Brenda’s accomplishments include having three city-scape paintings displayed at the Attleboro Art Museum, and having participated in the Relay for Life Fundraiser painting Luminary bags for auction. What art means to me: “Art opens a whole new world for me to be able to express myself.”
John is a new addition to the studio coming here in January 2024. John has a job at a local McDonald's for over 20 years, and comes to the studio on his day off. He has shown his amazing ability to create art through his sketches. John has sketched Ship, and Landscape of man driving a horse and buggy which sold immediately. John has also started using acrylic paints; which he demonstrated a lot of talent.
Lillian is the newest addition to the studio starting here in March 2024. Lillian is a retired receptionist from BVI, and brings her artist talents and bright smile to Flying Shuttles.
Starting at the studio in mid-2024, Lisa has found her niche in her crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, and weaving of mug rugs. She says her favorite is cross-stitching. Lisa says working at the studio relaxes her.
